Born and raised in Gary, IN, Pastor Denise Warren has always been active in

the church. After giving her life to Christ at the age of 12, her ministry

foundation was laid while serving in youth leadership positions at First

A.M.E. Church throughout her childhood.

Moving to Minnesota after graduating from college, the Lord directed her to the Pastor who would become her spiritual father and mentor for more than 32 years, the Rev. Dr. Earl F. Miller. Under his leadership and the guidance of the Holy Spirit, Pastor Warren's faith journey has led her to a place of confidence in trusting the Lord and becoming courageous in saying yes to His divine purpose.

A turning point in her journey was when she said yes to a higher calling that led to ordination as a deacon and seven years later, as a minister of the gospel.  With that yes came a period of preparation, struggle, and God's continued process of maturation and pressing for even more as He begin to expand her territory.

She has now become a sought after teacher; workshop and conference                                                      convener/speaker; and has had the opportunity to preach at churches both                                               throughout MN and around the country.

After serving at Progressive Baptist Church for more than 25 years, she said                                        yes, once again.  This time to God's call to plant a new church. Though, as the songwriter says, "the road is rough and the going gets tough, and the hills are hard to climb," the vision is quite clear.  Pastor Warren is committed to boldly moving forward, stepping out on faith, and believing that God has prepared the way for His vision to be given life.

She instills in her children the value found in Romans 8:31b which says "if God is for us, who can be against us?"  And it's with that attitude that she presses forward in obedience, anticipation and excitement to see what God is going to do next!!

“You’d better be ready for anything when you say yes to God!
You never know how He’s going to use you.”
Pastor Denise Warren
