Who We Are

breathofgod1.jpg

Our Name

Ruach

(roo'-ahk)

Ruach is a  Hebrew word meaning the breath, wind, or spirit of God. Used throughout the Old Testament, it is commonly associated with giving life.

We believe that God has blown His breath (ruach)  into the formation of this ministry, giving life to that which He has purposed to do His divine will.

"...I will put breath (ruach) in you, and you will come to life. Then you will know that I am the Lord."

Ezekiel 37:6b

Our History

After more than 25 years in ministry, and with the blessing and encouragement from her pastor, Rev. Denise Warren answered the call of the Lord to launch Ruach Christian Center. The first service was held on November 19, 2017, in an auditorium on the campus of Macalester College in Saint Paul, MN. Though many supporters and loved ones attended that first service, the Holy Spirit led us to enter a 90-day period of fasting and praying before opening the doors of the church for membership.  During this period of consecration, we fasted, prayed, were tested in our faith, and faced many obstacles.  But we persevered and joyfully opened the doors of church for membership on February 25, 2018, where along with the pastor, 8 persons became the founding members. Since that time, we have served with gladness and our assignment has been made clear.  We are boldly, faithfully, and courageously moving forward with the plans that God has for us!

Our Congregation

We are a collection of experiences, breakthroughs, healings, deliverances, and living testimonies.  We are not perfect, but humbly serve a perfect God.  The Holy Spirit leads us, our faith moves us, and our authentic praise is an expression of our thanks for all that God works in our lives. We are a place where people can come for soul nurturing, care, and unconditional love. We like to laugh and have fun.  We pray for and encourage each other and those around us.  We are committed to serving our community.  Our prayer is that those who cross our path are drawn to the Christ in us and are compelled to become a part of our family and more importantly, the body of Christ.
